About me

I have a PhD in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis on Depth Psychology. I also have a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. I am licensed in the state of Washington as a Mental Health Counselor (LH# 60500468) and in Arizona as a Clinical Psychologist (PSY-005558). I approach psychotherapy from a foundational commitment to the basic need people have for meaningful attachments and a strong sense of self. Learning to take responsibility for these two needs guides my work in psychotherapy, my theoretical research, and my own personal life.

Outside of work, I like to spend time in nature and read books about history, philosophy, science fiction, and classics in literature. I also like to watch movies, listen to music, and especially to spend time with my friends and loved ones. I have been working as a beekeeper in the Seattle area since 2010.

The title of my doctoral dissertation was On the Use of the Nonsensuous in Psychotherapy.
